“Hi Lisa,
“Been a while! I hope all is well with you. You told me back in February that descendants of Rufus Campbell are also descendants of John Alden and Priscilla Mullins,
so I submitted an application [to the Mayflower Society] shortly after that and sure enough my application was verified last week, and I should get the welcome packet
and the certificate in a few day!!
“Thank you so much for your help. Bryan”

NOTE: The community of genealogists world-wide is a close-knit family and we try to help each other.  Recently, I lent a hand to a fellow-genealogist and friend who lives in Sweden.  He was stuck trying to track someone down here in America and after some creative thinking on how the name could possibly be listed here, I found the trail.  He has helped me many times when I have gotten stuck trying to read Swedish!

“Thank you Lisa!

“That was a great job and it is the Brita I was looking for. I have found a lot of information from what you sent me so I will go on tomorrow again!

“Thanks again for your help Lisa! 😊

“Dear Lisa,
“OMG!!!   Wow, what a find.  That article is amazing.  This explains everything.  Tony collects turtles, must have got that from his great, great grandfather.  Buzz got his name from their dog and Albert served in the Civil War and was on the Union side.  I find the Civil War the most fascinating piece of history and Abe Lincoln is my favorite president. I did show you the retirement badge of Michael G (son of Albert who was a police officer) which has been handed down to me?    Michael served in Englewood, we lived/work in Inglewood.  Truly incredible!
“Thank you for all your hard work.
“Sincerely, Mike”

A nice thank you from Denmark after having found cousins from an old and very difficult to trace World War II trail which took me to the very north of England in Newcastle.  Newcastle is where the Danish sailors were housed after Germany invaded Denmark.  A very historical and rewarding search all the way around!

Lisa,
“I spent several hours yesterday afternoon acquainting myself with the materials you prepared.  First of all, thank you from the bottom (and top) of my heart for doing this research.  It’s hard to describe how I felt as I read through the booklet.  Basically, though it is paradoxical, I felt both humble and proud.  I cried all afternoon as I contemplated so many things that swirled around in my head and heart.  I cried again this morning talking with Larry about some of the findings that touched me the most deeply.  When I settle down a bit, I plan to journal the feelings, observations, and self-revelations that surfaced during my discoveries.  I am SO happy to have found you, and am so impressed with the information and the way it was presented to me!
Several people that I’ve spoken to said they might want your name and number at some time and I will cheerfully share it.  They could see how enthusiastic and happy I am!
I look forward to speaking with you in the near future – especially after receiving the DNA results!
I loved seeing that one of my distant grandmothers had a Jewish name, which has such deep and beautiful meanings (this made me cry too).
Once again, Lisa, thank you.  I assume that part of what makes your work so rewarding is the feedback you get from people when they realize, as I have, that their lives have forever been changed, and hopefully enhanced, by your efforts.
All the best, PS”

We donated a five-hour block of family history research to the Dangberg Ranch to be sold at their silent auction.  It was bought and this historic park gained all the proceeds from this.  In appreciation, they gave us a shout-out on Facebook.

“Firstly, I must say a huge heartfelt thank you.  What you’re unfolding in such a snowballing, avalanching record amount of time is fascinating!  Wow!  So I have an Aunt?  I’m keen to get to know people.  Absolutely!  And any more information would be great.  It’s fascinating and I see some familiar faces amongst the old photos which is just amazing.  Merry Christmas and take care.

“D really liked the info you sent him on his ancestors – that is so cool and such an interesting history.  His grandmother used to tell us about Freidlander and that family line, but he doesn’t know much at all about the M line, other then his grandfather being a dentist from Texas. He’s really interested in knowing more – this is so great, Lisa. Thanks again for your skillful detective work.

Recently I inquired about running an ad in the Horse Tales newspaper and ended up doing some research for the editor.  I wrote an article that she put in her Feb/Mar issue and she wrote the following testimonial at the end.

“A few months back Lisa sent in her ad about her Genealogy service and in our discussion I told her that I had been looking for my biological father and any siblings I may have that I did not know. After giving her some information, she called back the same day and had located a half sister in Australia.  I have been in communication with my sister due to Lisa’s talent and ability.  Thank you Lisa for making this possible.”

REVIEW ON A DEBUG SERVICE: This family had gotten a book of the family history passed down to them from their grandfather 100 years ago. They could not get their family tree to connect with where the lineage in the book ended off and needed help on this one line in their family tree. We successfully found the family line that connected up to the book, gave them the tree with all the details and a CD containing all the records to prove this lineage.  Their reaction:

“This is excellent! I am VERY happy! This is more than I had hoped for. I have other lines in my tree that I need help with and will hire you again. I will definitely recommend you to others. Again, thank you so much. I am delighted and my ancestors thank you too!

It is such a pleasure to learn about all of this and that’s only the beginning.  Thanks Lisa!!!
